The International Radio Art (and Creative Audio for Trans-media) Research Group
The International Radio Art (and Creative Audio for Trans-media) Research Group (IRARG) is an initiative set up to foster a better understanding of radio art (and its trans-media derivatives and developments) in terms of its origins, its development, its current and future manifestations and its socio-cultural impact.
IRARG was initiated in response to the need for a recognised platform for sharing scholarship in radio art as this is still largely an untilled field of investigation within academia. The aims of the group include the creation of a supportive network of researchers that stimulate opportunities for international engagement, the launch of a peer reviewed online journal and to stimulate other publication outcomes.
